Mystic boat tours often put visitors aboard a passenger vessel. This one puts you in control of your own mini powerboat. A guide runs ahead in another boat, leading the group through the route and giving you time to enjoy the view from the driver’s seat.
Choose the one-hour tour for a shorter outing or the three-hour adventure for more time on the Mystic River and nearby coastal waters. Both depart from 145 Pearl Street in Noank, not from downtown Mystic.

The part that makes it different
You operate a mini powerboat while a local guide leads the group in a separate vessel. You are not renting an unguided boat and you are not riding as a passenger on a large cruise. No boating license is required, but every driver needs to be 18 or older and show a valid driver’s license.
Before departure, the guide provides a 20–25-minute briefing on safety and boat operation. Life jackets are provided. Each guest boat requires two people, and passengers must be at least eight years old.
